Establishment of Jagdish Sharma Chair Professorship
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Jagdish Chand Sharma, a distinguished alumnus from the B.E. Electrical Engineering Class of 1966, for his visionary contribution towards the establishment of the first-ever Chair Professorship at BIT Mesra. Instituted in his name, this Chair in the Department of Electrical Engineering aims to promote excellence in research, teaching, and innovation. This milestone marks a historic moment for BIT Mesra and stands as a testament to Mr. Sharma’s enduring commitment to advancing higher education and inspiring future generations..
Generous Contribution by Mr. Vikram Kumar
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed alumnus, Mr.Vikram Kumar, 1984-88 Computer Science, BIT is proud to introduce the Women in Science and Technology Award. This initiative is dedicated to empowering the next generation of female engineers in Computer Science and fostering greater diversity and excellence in the field. The award provides full tuition support for the 1st Academic year to the top-ranking (JEE Main)female student enrolled in the Computer Science program at BIT.
