About
We, here at ACM, see a world where computing helps solve tomorrow’s problems – where we use our knowledge and skills to advance the profession and make a positive impact.
Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is an international organization that aims at advancing computing as a Science and Profession. ACM brings together computing educators, researchers, and professionals to address challenges and share knowledge and resources. It has over 100,000 members worldwide and still growing. It is constantly promoting computer research and innovations through various journals, magazines, and conferences.
ACM is home to more than 860 professional and student chapters worldwide. One of which is ACM BIT Mesra. We, at ACM BIT Mesra, constantly try to instill a sense of innovation and problem-solving ability through workshops, competitions, and hackathons. We strive for excellence and are truly devoted to maintaining high ethics. We are an active community in the field of Computer Science and related disciplines and maintain a high level of transparency in everything we do. With each year we set new goals for ourselves and try to introduce new and innovative methods for skill development. We aim at providing proper platforms for students to demonstrate their technical skills and also learn and interact with fellow tech geeks. We also aim at shaping future tech leaders by allowing our members to take responsibility and lead.
ACM BIT Mesra is constantly enhancing the learning experience through the exchange of ideas among the students through opportunities like tutorials, workshops, online coding competitions, and hackathons. All these events take place frequently throughout the year. And based on performances in these events, new members are inducted every year. We, at ACM BIT Mesra, believe in the fact that innovation is not a random act but is an outcome of a habit.
Our vision at ACM is “Dream, Share and Innovate”. We come together to create a platform for the exchange of ideas and knowledge. We target advancing research and creating a competitive environment where everybody can partake, cooperate with one another, and build up their abilities. This is done by providing a learning platform with healthy competition for students to showcase their talent as well as develop the right scientific temperament through interaction with the larger computing community.
ACM BIT Mesra is devoted to excellence and maintains high ethics. We aim at being an active community in the field of computer science and related disciplines. We have a set of goals in our agenda every year, and we work towards our goals maintaining a high level of transparency in all our work.
Message from Faculty Advisor
It gives me immense pleasure to introduce you to one of the most elite programming cum development club of BIT Mesra, ACM. Throughout the years, we have assembled a heritage of sharing skills and abilities at BIT Mesra. We have been successful in creating a community with a vision of “Dream, Share and Innovate” by promoting advancing-research and creating a competitive environment where everybody can partake, cooperate with one another, and build up their abilities. At BIT Mesra, our whole staff strives to make a useful homestead where each individual's particular qualities and talents are recognized. The mix of concentrating on our students' scholastic accomplishment as well as giving exposure to all the practical aspects in this up-surging world of science and technology leads to a situation where our students do astonishing things consistently.
Throughout this academic year, I believe that all the students will not only try to improve their skills but will also help and inspire others to do the same. We center around improving students' capacity to build and innovate, helping them become inventive issue solvers and perfect presenters all the while. I am pleased to be a part of this convention of accomplishment that has been working over for numerous years at BIT Mesra. With this, I wish all the absolute best to every one of you for your future endeavors.
