Sample Submission Procedure: Samples along with DD should be submitted in the prescribed format indicating the information called for as well as special requirements, if any. The samples will be registered for analysis and taken up for measurement  as per the number of users for the instrument concerned. Users have to collect the data either in electronic form or in hard copy from the CIF office or through email on special request.

For Invoice, user is requested to send/bring a self addressed envelope with stamp of requisite amount.

Modes of Payment: For internal (BIT) samples, concerned student/ faculty member has to fill up the specific application form for the instrument , duly signed by the respective Head of the Department during submission of the samples. The charges are deducted from the annual research budget of the specific department allocated under  CIF head  or project fund as applicable. For others the payment has to be made in the form of demand draft (DD)drawn in favour of " Birla Institute of Technology " from any nationalised bank ,payable at Ranchi.

Procurement Procedure: Every department has an approved budget for CIF expenses. At the end of every financial year based on the annual expenses of the CIF the money remaining is utilized for procurement of new instruments. The instrument to be procured is based on the recommendations received by the user departments. Preference is given to instruments recommended by more than two user departments. The recommendations are then forwarded to the

Dean - SR and Dean- PG&R for necessary vetting and approval by the Vice Chancellor .
