The course covered under this department is B. Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.The first batch of EEE passed out from Jaipur Campus in 2014.

All the faculty members of EEE department have  Ph.D. Degree

Electrical  Engineering is a core engineering  branch and also called  as mother branch from which Electronics & computer Science branches derived later on . As such the Electrical Engineering has great legacy of  a pioneering engineering branch  and all renowned technical institutions and Universities has very rich legacy of  research and technological development in this domain.  Undoubtedly , it  deals with basic need of  electrical energy, that is at core of all major technological development in the world, as such it has ever lasting scope of  expert engineers and development . Now days all  major electrical machines are automated  which is a domain of electronics, as such it is important to impart  relevant  knowledge of  Electronics with basic Electrical Engineering Course.  When Electrical Engineering  combines with Electronics,   it opens up large avenues in the area of  electrical power generation, distribution and control along with fast spreading domestic applications. This discipline well represents  the involvement of technology  to fulfil growing need of energy, therefore a vast scope of  growth for a technical professional in this domain.

Infrastructural Facilities

The Department of  Electrical  and Electronics Engineering at BIT Jaipur campus conforms to international standards with its knowledge base, experience and infrastructure. The department has learned teaching faculty qualified at M.Tech and Ph.D. Levels. It  has excellent lab infrastructure in the area of  Control System &  Instrumentation ,  Power Electronics,  Power Systems,  Electrical Machines,  Transmission & Distribution of Electrical Power,  Switch Gear and Protection,  Basic Electronics,  Integrated  Electronics ,  DSP and  Microprocessor.

The department has well equipped laboratories and having software  simulation tools like MATLAB, MULTISIM,  LabView with ELVIS, My Power, ETAP, Ansys Electromagnetic Suite, Infoletica  MagNet 2D etc.

The department ensures that the students graduate from here are well conversant with the conceptual knowledge, basic and advance experimentation, software based design skills and technology adaptation. Based on excellent knowledge base and technical competence the students of the department  have an impressive placement record. Many of graduates choose to join some of the best institutions of higher learning around the world and many have  joined  the leading corporates in the area of  core Electrical  Design and Operations , Automation and software development like ; NTPC, Reliance Power, BHEL, State Electricity Boards, IFB,  Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, Samsung, Verizon etc.

Research Interest and Aim

The department ensures that the students graduate from here are not only well conversant with the conceptual knowledge of the subject but also practically trained in operation of basic electrical machines , software based design skills and technology adaptation. The department  is looking forward to enhance core skill sets through research and development in the emerging technologies like;  Optimized Power Transmission System,  Smart Grid, Solar Energy Systems, Mechatronics,  Miniaturization and  Automation,  Computerized Network ,etc. Programmes.

Technology Exposure

For exposure to the emerging technologies , the institute organize summer training programme, industrial tour and participation in technical club  and student chapters of Computer Society of India (CSI) & Institute of Electronics & Communication Engineers (IETE)
