Professional Experience : About 32 Years in Academics and Industrial Research
Worked on Development of low cost and light weight Microstrip RF components and circuits for Aerospace Applications under the project Sponsored by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) at MNIT, Jaipur. Later, after further development, these RF components were used by ISRO in communication systems of Chandrayan and Mangalyan Satellites . The research work was also guided and evaluated at University of Sheffield , UK
Industrial Experience : About 13 years in leading Public Sector and Private Sector Units at Senior Management Positions in R&D and Projects
Worked with leading telecom industries like; Rajasthan Communication Ltd., Jaipur ( A public Sector Company) , PUNWIRE, Chandigarh ( A public Sector Company) and Birla VXL, Faridabad ( a S.K. Birla Group Company).
During the industry tenure, has a distinct credit of working for development of India’ s first 2 GHz Digital Microwave Communication System in collaboration of Orion Hungry & BSNL India; first Captive Mobile Communication System for Indian Defence Services in Collaboration of LRDE (DRDO) ; Initiated TETRA digital radio trunking technology in India in Collaboration of Nokia, Finland and Analog radio trunking technology in collaboration of Fylde Microsystems , UK. Also credited with pioneering member of 4G Mobile Communication Protocol Development forum initiated in year 2001 by renowned telecom expert Prof. Ramji Prasad of Alborg University , Denmark, having a consortium of leading technological Universities and telecom industries of the world.
Among other key projects, worked for development of indigenous technology for systems like; STM Optical Communication System in collaboration of C-DoT, Distress Alert System for Sea Transport Application and Up/Down Converters for Satellite Communication Application in Collaboration of SAC ( ISRO) and ADSL Modem & antennas for WLL applications.
Publications : About 40 research papers and invited talks in reputed journals and conferences. Also participated as Session Chair and Panellist in reputed conferences.
