Dr. Abhishek Naresh is a PhD in Economics from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. His dissertation studies informal labour markets and its implication on monetary policy in India. His primary research areas include macroeconomics, international economics and labour economics. His work focuses on emerging economies and conflict nations. Additionally, he has worked in the field of economics of education among low income households. He has been associated with TISS, Mumbai and INSEAD, Singapore for various research projects.
Abhishek has a diverse education and work background. He holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Jamshedpur and MA in Economics from IGNOU. He worked in After-sales marketing of India's largest automobile manufacturer, Maurti Suzuki. He switched over to social sector afterwards working with Teach for India, an education non-profit, to improve learning outcomes in low income schools in Delhi.
