Mode of appointments: For the above posts on regular /deputation /contract basis for 5 years (likely to be confirmed subject to satisfactory performance).

Essential : M.B.B.S degree with at least 55% aggregate, from an Indian Medical Council (IMC) recognized University with at least 3 years experience in large multispeciality Hospital set up.

Desirable : Working experience preferably in a large hospital.  Candidates should be able to handle all first-level medical matters, both routine as well as emergencies, be able to attend to cases and provide first aid services, prescribe tests, medicines for immediate relief and ensure proper care of all residents (faculty, students, visitors, staff and residents) on the BIT campus.

Eligibility Requirement

 

 

Minimum Qualification and Experience Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor:

 

 

Professor

Qualification: A Ph. D. Degree with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in an appropriate branch / discipline with a consistently good academic record throughout. Post PhD publications and guiding PhD students is highly desirable.

 

Experience: Minimum 10 years Teaching / Research / Industrial Experience, excluding experience gained during Ph. D. Programme, of which at least 4 years as Associate Professor in premier Academic Institution.

Associate Professor

Qualification: A Ph. D. Degree with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in an appropriate branch / discipline with a consistently good academic record throughout. Post PhD publications and guiding PhD students is highly desirable.

 

Experience: Minimum 6 years Teaching / Research / Industrial Experience excluding experience gained during Ph. D. Programme, of which at least 3 years as Assistant Professor in premier Academic Institution.

      For Assistant Professor -

I. Registrar

A person who shall be responsible for administration of the Institute on the policy guidelines set up by the Vice Chancellor and the Board of Governors. The Registrar is expected to be a positive attitude, capable of problem solving and with a proven ability to coordinate the work of various wings such as Administration, Finance & Accounts, Examination, Maintenance, Stores & Purchase and also with various Govt. & Private agencies.

Essential Qualification & Experience:

A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale ; along with

(i) At least 15 years experience as Assistant Professor in AGP of Rs. 7000/- and above or with 8 years of service in AGP of Rs. 8000/- and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration or

(ii) Comparable experience in Research Establishments and/or other Institutions of higher education or

(iii) 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

Desirable :

a) Considerable experience in educational administration, financial and personnel management and capacity to lead administration in a residential institution and knowledge of computer and web-based administration.

b)  All round ability to coordinate and lead a team of officers with varied expertise.

(10)The decision of BIT in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance, rejection of the application form, interview, verification of testimonials and selection will be final and binding on the candidates.

 

(11) The Institute may consider candidates whose areas of specialization lie outside those stated herein, provided these persons have an outstanding record.

 

(12) Candidates who are interviewed for one post may be redesignated as per Institute cadre structure.

 

(13) The candidate is responsible for the correctness of the information provided in the application. If it is found at a later date that any information given in the application is Incorrect / false the candidature/appointment is liable to be cancelled/terminated.

 

(14) Interim correspondence will not be entertained or replied to. No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from candidates regarding reason for not being called for interview/outcome of interview.

 

(15) Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.

 

 

 

(16)  Any dispute with regard to the selection / recruitment process will be subject to Courts / Tribunals having jurisdiction over Ranchi.

 

(17) The Institute will not be responsible for non-receipt of application(s) within the stipulated date due to any postal delay / loss of application / document sent in transit.

 

(18) Applications should be accompanied with a non-refundable demand draft of Rs. 500/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PHs and for candidates belonging other categories a non-refundable demand draft of Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of “Birla Institute of Technology " payable at Ranchi towards application fee. Candidates are advised to write their name and post applied for on the backside of the demand draft.

 

(19) The complete application form along with enclosures, Demand Draft must reach in a sealed envelope by hand or by speed post to Deputy Registrar (Estt. & Recruitment), Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi – 835215 on or before the last date for submission of application i.e. 10.04.2012. Kindly superscribe on the envelop with the post applied for and Department.

1. Duly Filled in Application Form in the prescribed format

2. Latest colour Passport size photograph

3. Attested Copies of all certificates, Mark sheets from SSC/HSC/Matriculation onwards

4. Attested copies of any other relevant certificates / testimonials

5. Attested Copies of Caste Certificates for (SC/ST), certificates for Persons with Disabilities

    (PD) for PH candidate issued by the Competent Authorities, Certificate of experience for Govt

    employees

6. Original Demand Draft (Separate Demand Draft to be attached along with the application form

    for candidates desirous of applying more than one post)
