Extension Centre, Kolkata is located in
the southern part of Kolkata. The place
is well connected with all the parts of
Kolkata. The suburb station is just 4 km
away and the 1 km away from Eastern
Metropolitan By pass. The place is
surrounded by Hospital, Market. The
total area of the premises is 20, 589
sq. ft which includes a lab of 120
machines capacity, faculty room, seven
class room, one seminar hall, server
room. The library is approximately 4000
sq. ft. of area and is having reading
space, books and journal storage and
10-12 machines are installed to
facilitate the E-library. The whole
campus including class room is networked
through cat–6 cable and the internet
facility is given through dedicated
leased line of 128 kbps. All the
computers are from Dell and HP make of
latest technology.
The
MCA-2k2 batch have done their final
semester projects in various
organizations like CTS, WIPRO, ISI
Calcutta, Jadavpur University, Electra
Design automation, IBM GLOBAL, Sunrise
software, Flextronics (HSS), BIRLASOFT,
Metalogic Systems. They have done
projects on different platforms like
R&D, Networking, Image Processing, VLSI
design, Database software. The students
had been selected in the above mentioned
projects by proving their ability
through various kinds of tests and the
result of which the company are now
absorbing them.
All
the final semester students have been
placed through campus interview in the
renowned organizations like Birlasoft,
IBM Global, Accenture, Flextronics (HSS),
Mahindra British Telecom, Wipro,
Metalogic Systems, Sunrise software etc
Apart
from these the students are also
encouraged to develop projects under
able guidance of different faculty
member and the MCA and BCA students have
also done inhouse projects in their
fifth/sixth semester under the guidance
of the respective faculty. The MCA
students have presented seminars under
their fifth semester curriculum.
