2013

  • Department ranked 5th among all universities / colleges / institutions of architecture of India in the survey conducted by EduWays.in.
  • Amit Kumar (2011 batch) and Sarvesh Singh (2012 Batch) finished Runners-Up at the international business-plan event- IDEAS'13, held from 14th- 17th march, 2013at IIT Kanpur.
  • Sanyukta Mohta (2012 Batch) won Certificate of Merit in All India essay writing Event organized by Shri Ram Chandra Mission in collaboration with United Nations Information Centre for India.

2012

  • Semi-Finalist Essay Entry in the Fourteenth Berkeley Prize Essay Competition, 2012 – Dominic Mathew, Gauri Mathur, Ushnata Datta, Insha Sharma and Dipon Bose
  •  First Prize in the architectural design competition named “Archcult 2012” under the project category ‘Redesigning the Total Structure and Presenting a New, Fresh and a Better Structure’ with the entry titled ‘Sainik Market Complex, Main Road, Ranchi’ - Satish Kumar, Amit Kumar and Deo Kumar Raj

2011

  • Department ranked 5th among all departments / schools / institutions of architecture of India in the survey of the magazine Outlook India, with a perceptual score of 728.1 
  • 1st Prize in International Students Competition on Contemporary Architecture: beyond Corbusierism, organised at the Young Architects Festival at Chandigarhwon by Aman Kumar and Imdad Uddin Ahmed
  • 3rd position in the All India Quiz Competition titled Archumen and Bending Moments 2011 - Susmita Sinha and Maharshi Bhattacharyya
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winner in the Eastern Zonal level of ‘Yuvaratna’, a competition organised by the Birla White Cement Ltd. – December 2011 – won by Deepak Kumar, Mudassar Rehan and Risabh Sharma
  • “College with Highest Number of Entry” - in ‘Yuvaratna’, a competition organised by the Birla White Cement Ltd. – December 2011
  • 3rd prize winner in the National level of ‘Yuvaratna’, a competition organised by the Birla White Cement Ltd. – December 2011 – won by Mayank Kumar
  • Finalist Essay Entry in the Thirteenth Berkeley Prize Essay Competition, 2011 – Dhruv Batra and Richa Girdhar
  • ZONASA Overall Runner Trophy for second highest number of individual prizes in the Zonal Meet of the National Association for Students of Architecture held at CET Bhubaneswar – won by the team of students from the Department.

2010

  • Department ranked 6th among all departments / schools / institutions of architecture of India in the survey of the magazine Outlook
  • First Prize (US$ 4500) in the Twelfth Berkeley Prize Essay Competition, 2010 – The Story of a Prison Cellauthored by Ishaniye Niyogi
  • 1st prize in Architectural Design Competition on Earthquake Resistant Design of Structures organized by the National information Centre of Earthquake Engineering (NICEE) and Civil Engineering Department of IIT Kanpur and was funded by the Govt of India during 12th to 17th July 2010 -  won by Suryabala Sah.
  • Winner of competition (prize money of US$ 500) to deign Cyclone Resistant Platinum ( LEED )Rated Residence for an Elderly, in the Broadmoor  Neighborhood at New Orleans (client United States of America) – organised by the Cincinnati Regional Chapter of US Green Building Council (USGBC) during 15th Jan 2010 – 31st may 2010 – won by Suryabala Sah and Ashwina Luiz .
  • ZONASA Overall Winner Trophy for highest number of individual prizes in the Zonal Meet of the National Association for Students of Architecture held at IIT Kharagpur in September 2010 – won by the team of students from the Department.
  • Pidilite Award for Excellence in Architectural Studies and Environmental Studies – won by Anupam Sarkar in Interior Design category and Srikanth Panda in Architectural Design category
  • Departmental students won laurels in the design competition for new High Court Complex of Jharkhand at Ranchi – organised by High Court authority.

2009

  • First Prize (US$ 4000) in the Eleventh Berkeley Prize Essay Competition, 2009 - "Banaras - a continuing natural, cultural and architectural landscape" authored by Neelakshi Joshi
  •  
    4th position in the Annual Students’ Design Competition 2009 organized by INSDAG [Institute for Steel Design and Growth] - design topic was Bus Terminus – participating students were M. Meghanathan, Vignesh Shankar, Hehboklang Khyriem and Umamahesh
